Angels among us...

So, a few years ago I met a whole bunch of wonderful people at Jackie's TV Blog. In the last year I haven't visited there much but I have kept in touch with a few of the friends I met via Facebook.

A couple of weeks ago I made a status update about how Super O! wanted a pillow pet in the worst kind of way and she was driving me nuts about it!



This is where the angels come in... Two of the ladies I met at Jackie's TV Blog, Margo & Laurie, took it upon themselves to order one for Super O! as an early birthday present. As you can imagine I was completely floored at the generosity of these two people I had never met in person! Why would they do something so wonderfully nice for my little girl? The answer...because they are two of the best people I know!

Super O! wanted the puppy pillow and it was delivered on Friday. As expected she was over the moon with excitement and has slept with it every night since it came. It's her favorite thing in the world!


She even incorporated it into her Halloween costume...

What? Has it been 6 months since my last post? I'm sorry little blog of mine but Facebook has taken over as my communication method of choice. I promise I'll try not to ignore you so much in the future.

I just thought I'd stop by and say a huge THANK YOU to anyone who has used my Amazon link over in my sidebar. Because of you I just ordered Olivia another game suggested by the special education teachers at her school. They play What's GNU? in her speech class all the time!

Is there anything cuter than puppies??

My aunt Betty has 10 week old puppies. They're mutts but we're pretty sure there's some chihuahua, some kind of boxer and maybe Jack Russell terrier in there. Super O! absolutely loves the puppies!!

One is a boy, PJ, and the other is a girl, Molly. Don't ask which is which because I can't tell them apart!

The only thing cuter than puppies is a kid with puppies...

See...I told ya so!!

Howdy from Georgia!

Super O! is having a blast! She's meeting relatives she never knew she had. And guess what?? The Easter Bunny found her all the way down here! I'll post more pics later of her hunting for eggs in shorts, something she's never been able to do in the frozen tundra that is Wisconsin...

This is Super O! and her Papa. He got her a Nintendo DS for Easter. Right now he's her favorite person in the whole world!!

This is Super O! and Granny, her great-grandma and my grandma. We love our Granny!!

We took Super O! to "meet" my grandpa who died right before I turned 13. I wish he could have known her.

Papa was trying to teach her how to hit a baseball. She's not so good at keeping her eye on the ball but she does alright.

Vacation Baby!!!

Super O! and I are embarking on an adventure of epic proportions next week. We'll be traveling to Georgia to visit my dad & grandmother. She is so frickin excited she can't contain herself. First of all, we'll be going on a plane. How cool is that? Second of all, if you look at a map GA is very, very far away from WI. We've discussed the weather in GA, which is averaging at about 70 the last few days. This means she'll be able to wear shorts!!! Papa is taking her fishing, which is something she's never done. We'll be spending a day in Savannah, which is by the ocean. I mean, what isn't there for a 6 year old to freak out about?

I'll be sure to post pics upon our return. I may be offline while we're there too. I can't remember if Granny has moved into the 21st century or if she's still on dial-up service.
