So, now it turns out that I'm not having your run-of-the-mill miscarriage. I have an ectopic pregnancy. My hCG levels have risen a bit since last week and I'm having sharp pains in my abdomen. I went to the doctor, she did an exam and that's the diagnosis. I had to have another set of blood work drawn (that's twice today!) and I had two shots in my ass! The medicine I had injected is called methotrexate. Basically it inhibits the growth of the placental cells in my fallopian tube. It's a very common treatment for ectopic pregnancies and it usually works. As a last resort, I may have to have minor surgery to remove the tissues. I really hope this medicine works!
Anyway, I've had the shittiest couple of weeks in my life. Please tell me it gets better than this!
